ResaleRecords Early access £19
For UK Vinted, eBay, Etsy & Depop sellers

Your sales, sorted into a UK tax-year record before 31 January.

Platforms now send seller details to HMRC. Resale Records puts every sale in one place, shows which platforms will report you, and keeps your clear-out sales apart from items you bought to resell.

A record-keeping tool, not tax advice. We link to GOV.UK for the rules.

The problem

Two different years, four platforms, one deadline

  • Platforms report by calendar year

Each platform tells HMRC about you if you make 30 or more sales, or take more than €2,000 (about £1,700), on that platform in a calendar year.

  • Tax works on the tax year

The £1,000 trading allowance and Self Assessment run from 6 April to 5 April. Your platform totals won't line up with that unless you re-sort them.

  • Not every sale is trading

Selling your own old things is usually different from buying to resell. You need a record showing which was which.

What the rules say

    Early access
    £19 covers 2025/26 and 2026/27
    • Your 2025/26 record, ready for the 31 January 2027 deadline
    • Tracking for 2026/27 until 5 April 2027
    • Access by 1 December 2026, or a full refund
    • Full refund for 14 days after you get access, no questions

Early access is limited while we build. You're paying for a product that doesn't exist yet; if we don't deliver by 1 December, you get every penny back.

    What it will do

One place for all your selling platforms, sorted by UK tax year.

    Etsy
Import the orders file from Shop Manager
    eBay
Import the orders report from Seller Hub
    Depop
Import the sales file from Selling Hub
    Vinted
Quick-add your sales. Vinted has no sales download yet; we're testing import from Vinted's data download

Then mark each sale as bought-to-resell or personal, add what you paid and your costs, and download a summary for your Self Assessment or your accountant.

    Questions

    Common questions

Does being reported mean I owe tax?

No. A platform report tells HMRC what you sold. Whether you owe anything depends on whether you were trading and your profit. GOV.UK has a checker for additional income, and explains the platform reporting rules.

    Is this tax advice?

No. Resale Records organises your records and shows the published rules. It won't tell you whether you're trading or what you owe. If you're unsure, use HMRC's guidance or an accountant.

Do you connect to my accounts?

No. You download your own sales files from each platform and upload them. We never ask for your platform passwords.

    What happens to my data?

We use it only to build your records, and you can delete it at any time. Read the privacy notice for what we hold now, during early access.

    Why pay now?

We'd rather build what sellers will actually pay for. Early access is cheaper than the launch price, and it's fully refundable if we don't deliver by 1 December 2026.
